Spring Break

It has been awhile.  We went to Georgia for Spring Break this year to visit my dad and Debbie.  We had a lot of fun and stayed busy everyday.  We got there late Friday night and on Saturday we went to the UGA campus and walked around, Sunday we went to church then came home and we met Debbie's family we had a cookout and the kids hunted easter eggs.  Monday we went shopping and to a place called Funopolis it is a place with arcade games, go carts, bouncy things, mini golf and a ton more stuff.  Tuesday we went to a park and hiked a little then the kids walked around in the river a little.  We decided that it was too slippery and the water was moving to fast so that didn't last long.  Wednesday we went to a place called Yellow River Game Ranch.  It is a place that has a bunch of animals that have been rescued and they will walk right up to you and eat out of your hand the kids loved it.  We also went to Stone Mountain I hadn't been there since I was in middle school.  It is really neat they have a ropes course now that Russell and the kids did, we rode the sky tram up to the top of the mountain, and rode a train around the mountain.  They have a really neat laser/fireworks show every night and last week was the first week for it.  Thursday was Jacelyn's 8th birthday so she got to choose what we did.  Since it was raining she decided that we would go see How to Train Your Dragon in 3D.  It was a cute movie.  Friday we went to Tallulah Gorge State Park.  It is a really beautiful place there are several water falls.  We walked a total of about 700 stairs it was tiring but so worth it for the views.  Saturday we started home Russell decided to take the senic route so that we could stop at a rafting outpost (not to raft but to get some information.)  There was a rock slide on the highway so we had to take a detour which caused Jacelyn and Irelyn to get car sick I have never been so happy to see an Interstate in my life I was so ready to get off that twisty curvy road.  Luckily we took 75 all the way to 74 instead of 65 so we didn't get stuck in any of the spring break traffic.  Okay get ready for picture overload I'm going to try to narrow it down some but we got tons of great pictures.

Happenings

It's been awhile since I last posted.  Taylor's school play is fast approaching it is March 26th  and 27th.  He says they are behind and they have been late getting out the last couple days I have picked him up.  Irelyn is getting so big and getting into so much more trouble can you say terrible twos ALREADY!!  She FINALLY said MAMA I was so excited she doesn't say it very often but then she doesn't do much but grunt and point.  She loves to make fists and shake them at you, she does cool dude with her pointer fingers instead of her thumbs, loves sunglasses, stands on her horse (maybe she will be a trick rider when she grows up.), growls at her brother, screams at everything, and will finally lay down awake for her naps and goes to sleep on her own.  I still have to hold her till she is asleep at night but that's okay pretty soon she won't let me do that anymore.  Allyssa and Jacelyn aren't up to much right now I think they are ready for school to be out and for it to be warm.  Here are a couple of pictures of Irelyn putting her baby and bear to sleep (notice the bears cloth diaper).  The last two pictures are a little racey so beware! :)

Shhh...baby is sleeping

Cousins

Jared came for the day on Monday.  He and Irelyn had a blast playing together once Jared finally got warmed up and used to being at our house.  Here are some pictures of them playing together.

Watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

riding the horse and car around in circles

BIG HUGS ~ Irelyn was a little more aggressive with the hugs than Jared liked.

I got you Jared

he finally got away from Irelyn and was eating a snack

riding the car again

I had to add this one and the next one these are two her new things the first is her "attitude" pose she does this after she does something she is not supposed to.

This is her saying cheese.  Can you tell she gets her picture taken alot.

Work in Progress

I was playing with the blog tonight and the title/header is still a work in progress.  I'm still trying to figure out how to get a picture on it, but I am giving up for tonight because Irelyn has decided that she really needs mommy and daddy isn't cutting it anymore.

Superbowl Fun

We stayed home this year and watched the Superbowl and ate lots and lots of food.  Here are some pictures I took.

I think she was calling the Colts to give them some pointers.

Let the feast begin!
